NOTICE
Cochran Zoning Committee Meeting scheduled
for Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the City Auditorium at 102 North
Second Street
The Zoning Committee has three (3) items on the
agenda. All three items are Public Hearings for three parcels that will be
considered for annexation at the Tuesday, January 12 City Council meeting. The
three parcels are located at or near the new Havenwood Gardens apartment site
at the intersection of the By-Pass and Daisy Adams Road.
1.
Public Hearing on recommending a
zoning designation for an approximately 6.5-acre parcel site owned by Havenwood
Gardens, LP; Bleckley County Housing LC, LLC. The site is
located at the corner of the Cochran By-Pass and Daisy Adams Road. This is the
site of the future 50-unit Havenwood Gardens apartment development. The site is
now a part of a larger County tax parcel B39 052. Once the parcel is annexed,
the proposed zoning designation is RM Multi-Family Residential.
2.
Public Hearing on recommending a
zoning designation for an approximately 36.21-acre parcel site owned by Earl
Arnold- The site is located at the southwest corner of the
Cochran By-Pass and N. Ash Street. The County Tax Parcel Number is B30 052, and
the site is on the southwest section of the larger existing tax parcel. Once
the parcel is annexed, the proposed zoning designation is B-2 Community
Business District.

Public Hearing to on recommending a
zoning designation for a 1.99-acre parcel owned by Ajay S. Patel-
The site is located along N. Ash Street near the Cochran By-Pass. The County
Tax Parcel Number is B30 052A. Once the parcel is annexed, the proposed zoning
designation is B-2 Commercial Business District.
