Internet related crime has become a very important concern in our continuing mission to prevent and reduce crime. Listed below are several excellent resources to help keep you from becoming a victim of an internet related crime or to assist you if you have been a victim.
Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): A partnership between the
FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. The IC3 offers prevention
information and provides online reporting of internet crime.
Federal Trade Commission: Provides information on a wide variety
of consumer crime issues including identity theft and internet related crime.
Offers online reporting of identity theft and internet crime.
Georgia Governors Office of Consumer Protection: Provides information regarding a wide variety of consumer related crimes along with investigation of these crimes.
Anti-Phishing Working Group: Provides information regarding
"Phishing" and provides on-line reporting of suspected phishing
websites.
Report Spam: Spam email can be easily reported
by forwarding the email to spam@uce.gov
